Oh dear Lord...

You know what is in my heart from the off. Thank You for always guiding me to go straight and always helping me keep my mind in the right frame,so to speak. Sometimes, I would think I needed much more discernment to make the right decision and or judgment over matters that's too heavy for my shoulders. I always seek Your help and You have made me a better person that I am today with all the battles I faced head on...still there's a lot more. Thank You Lord for all of these which make me forever grateful...

At this point I know God that You again is the one who knows my heart's desire. Please help me now...give me  enough wisdom and more and more courage to tackle everything.

Without YOU oh Lord, am nothing and helpless.

I most need Your help now...

AMEN!!!

Helicopter parent

We as parents, should make it a point to do some mental inventory on how we can assess ourselves as parents. How does one fare as good parent? Do we keep track on how our children behave outside? Are they good children even without us to supervise them whether or not they behave properly? For me a dutiful mother is one who follows every step her child makes without making herself tagged as helicopter mom or parent. Yes we can do that by having a strong foundation built with trust and love wherein the child is free from our hovering nags and fault-findings. Cultivate and nurture the friendship ties between you and your child so as not to make him feel that you are trying to manipulate them and making them feel like puppets.It can be done, if you try your most. Of course no child will feel good when the parent is hovering.

THANK YOU...

LORD, am so thankful and grateful for everything You've been giving me...and so blest to have been given enough courage and wisdom to tackle and shield me against every little misfortune and heartaches I encounter as I go along this road of life.

Am blest...

Don't be weak...

Don't be weak or wicked...it won't help us in any other way. It sadden me when I see someone who is on the verge of losing their hope and is also on the verge of giving up. I am so blest that with all my past trials I emerged to be a winner, with only one tool in hand...my faith. With my faith alone I can almost face everything hopefully head on. may not be the old-fashioned regular church goer clasping rosaries with veil...but still I only use my faith to face life's bumps on and on...wheeeew, who doesn't have problems anyway...it's a matter of how you and your faith works...couple with a lot of optimism and positivism on the side. Just always the cliched "hang in there..." and it will all pass...soon before you know it. For me life indeed is always a blessing no matter what...my two cents worth.

A Nun And A Saint...

Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997), who was a Catholic nun founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta. She ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying for over 45 years. Praised by many she also received criticisms because she strongly disliked contraception and abortion as two of the issues hurled against her Later on she was honored and praised by many around the world until she became a saint after her death. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II.

Words to ponder!

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Life is like a blanket too short. You pull it up and your toes rebel, you yank it down and shivers meander about your shoulder; but cheerful folks manage to draw their knees up and pass a very comfortable night. ~Marion Howard

Albert Schweitzer:

Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.

Hallelujah!

Lyrics | Jeff Buckley Lyrics | Hallelujah Lyrics

Let It Rain

(Jon Bon Jovi and Luciano Pavarotti, Modena, June 9th 1998)

Last night I had a dream that there would be a morning after
Long days, sunshine, and peace
Long nights of love, forgiveness, and laughter
Maybe it was just a dream but it could be reality
Children are like planting seeds, you’ve got to let their flowers grow
Don’t you know

Fà che piova, (Let it rain)
Fà che il cielo mi lavi il dolor (Let heaven wash away my pain)
Fà che piova (Let it rain)
che sia la pace il nome d'amor (That peace would be the name of love)

Through the rain I saw a child just like my child
Someone’s son or daughter
I watched as they played for a while
I wanted to cry, those babies just smiled
Maybe it was just a dream, but it should be reality
A child is just God’s sign that peace and love are seeds to make
tomorrow grow

Fà che piova, (Let it rain)
Fà che il cielo mi lavi il dolor (Let heaven wash away my pain)
Fà che piova (Let it rain)
che sia la pace il nome d'amor (That peace would be the name of love)

Go on, we’ve tried war
No one wants peace more
Than the children who ask their dads why

Fà che piova, (Let it rain)
Fà che il cielo mi lavi il dolor (Let heaven wash away my pain)
Fà che piova (Let it rain)
che sia la pace il nome d'amor (That peace would be the name of love)

Words to ponder...

Live neither in the past nor in the future, but let each day's work absorb your entire energies, and satisfy your widest ambition.
